Do you mean that spreading the belief that people should only refer to things in this "right" way would damper someones expression? Just clarifying because im curious to hear your thoughts, I somehow havent thought much about that point.

Going PC on humor is stupid. The purpose of dark and morbid humor, or in general to make light of serious situations, is to alleviate the sadness or anger that those situations otherwise necessitate.

I mean I feel like there's some level of compromise necessary -- fundamental to participation in civic society, etc. -- but there's a pretty big difference between doing the right thing and saying the right thing and it kind of blurs the line into a situation where saying the right thing is more important than doing the right thing. Rusty's 'baby on board' sign example is a good one.

(This) thread didnt upset me, I wasnt mad in any way. I just thought it would be a good opportunity to show that those attitudes still exist in daily life for some people even though it may seem that those are attitudes od the past.

It seems to have gone that direction lately. While I don't play vidja, I hear a lot of Destiny and the groups that are often played with use "fag" in that sense.

"that's so gay" on the other hand........still has a ways to go
