I bought a de7 out of their used online inventory once. It did start out as a good deal, but after $14 to ship and sales tax getting added I would've saved money elsewhere.
Probably doesn't help that my nearest GC is 2 hours away, but I seem to always stumble into gear at unsuspecting antique shops and thrift stores which seems to keep me away from the big box stores. Craigslist is also my best friend, tons of steals to be had.

And yes... yes it is.... its a bit more expensive than probably 90% of peoples rigs. Sometimes that bugs me that I have that much money tied up in it, but then i turn it on and plug in and that feeling goes away.

So speaking of budget V4s, that V6B I have pretty much sounds exactly like my V4 before it overdrives, but I haven't had it at that level yet since I'm fixing it up. Something to consider.

An acoustic 160 would look real nice on top of that emperor cab. Kinda like a budget v4, treat yourself to one of those.
So speaking of budget V4s, that V6B I have pretty much sounds exactly like my V4 before it overdrives, but I haven't had it at that level yet since I'm fixing it up. Something to consider.

I've seen two, so yeah they are rare. From my experience, they need some work to get going again. Basically replacing the entire power module on mine. Huge transformer and huge can caps though. I might flip it once I bring it back to life though, just putting that out there.

That's to be expected from any 30-40 year old amp. If you do flip def keep me in the loop, not that I can really spend money on anything due to my upcoming wedding but I might be able to make something work.
