I'd go Mickey Mouse, so it's not aimed at people's ankles. Unless you're setting on top of another cab. You could also put it on its side and send the sound out to three distinct vertical strata. It would be even better if you made another one and had the one-speaker sides toward the middle, with two speakers stacked on the outside.
glad you dig it, but yea hell i'm surprised you put it all together first before the tolex and grill cloth, but I'm guessing you wanted to make sure it was worth going through that extra expense.
it's been pouring fucking rain so i can't bring any ply to the warehouse to cut up. and my hardware still isn't here. so I'm just sitting with my thumb up my ass as far building anything.
I didnt glue in the front baffle yet so it will be very easy to remove it and tolex the cab. I am also doing a removable grill. It has been tough getting materials myself. I have a VERY small space to work so I have to cut things down elsewhere before I can do the final cuts.
I don't like open back cabs but I do love ported cabs. I have a 2x12 with a front port that is as loud as most 4x12s. That with the 2x15 guitar cab I made it really covers a wide range of tones. I actually like this set up way better than when I was running two vintage Sunn 4x12s.
