So I can't decide if I want to run it Mickey mouse style or upside down. What do you think?

I'd go Mickey Mouse, so it's not aimed at people's ankles. Unless you're setting on top of another cab. You could also put it on its side and send the sound out to three distinct vertical strata. It would be even better if you made another one and had the one-speaker sides toward the middle, with two speakers stacked on the outside.

Is it more like the top or more like the bottom?

It looks great. Gonna make somebody very happy.

More like the top, being that dark, but not so red looking.

Played it for the first time. It's very tight and responsive. I like it a lot. I just need to tolex it and get some grill cloth.

glad you dig it, but yea hell i'm surprised you put it all together first before the tolex and grill cloth, but I'm guessing you wanted to make sure it was worth going through that extra expense.

it's been pouring fucking rain so i can't bring any ply to the warehouse to cut up. and my hardware still isn't here. so I'm just sitting with my thumb up my ass as far building anything.

Any of y'all use open semi-open back cabs for the loud shit? It seems like it make the sound less directional, at the expense of some chunk.

I have a line on a bunch of 10s and was thinking of combining 1x15 closed with 4x10 open, cuz I really don't like 10s in a closed back cab.

I didnt glue in the front baffle yet so it will be very easy to remove it and tolex the cab. I am also doing a removable grill. It has been tough getting materials myself. I have a VERY small space to work so I have to cut things down elsewhere before I can do the final cuts.

I don't like open back cabs but I do love ported cabs. I have a 2x12 with a front port that is as loud as most 4x12s. That with the 2x15 guitar cab I made it really covers a wide range of tones. I actually like this set up way better than when I was running two vintage Sunn 4x12s.
