Here's one that's quite pertinent to me right now: K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid. I learned that way back in junior high during theater class or something.

I used to play in drop Bb, but have been using C standard myself for a while now. Bb beckons me though, because of all the "lore" surrounding it.
