Re: = Introduce Yourself =
Greetings. Mediocre guitar/bass player here with a love for fuzz. While I'm a member of stombox.net, they seem more of a modeler/ios group than traditional pedals. While I do have alot of modeling boxes, software my heart lies in the physical stomp boxes.
My fuzz boxes are as follows:
1. NYC Big Muff Pi - picked it up on sale when Best Buy started clearing out their musical instruments department. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE this pedal. My favorite pedal; period.
2. Pigtronix Disnortion - This is a 3 effect pedal: A overdrive, various fuzzes and a octave up. The overdrive and fuzz run in parallel, which keeps the end product from getting too muddy. The fuzz itself is not that impressive, but combined with the overdrive and octave makes for a gorgeous tonal combination.
3. Screeching Owl Effects: Hydra - A synthy fuzz pedal. The fuzz itself is a "sputtery" kind of fuzz. Trying to find a tone I'm happy with.
4. Deviever: Hyperion - This pedal is marketed as a "Big Muff killer". After owning this pedal, I've realized that the only thing that can kill a Big Muff is another Big Muff that has been dumped by it's lover.
Coming soon: Little Big Muff Pi - The normal Big Muff is a massive pedal and takes up HUGE real estate on my pedalboard and I'd like room to add a tuner and a reverb. In the reviews I've found the sound of the Little Muff somewhat thinner than the Big Muff, but I'm hoping I can somehow compensate by rolling off the tone control on the guitar.
Presently looking for the prefect fuzz for bass. Based on youtube videos I was leaning towards a Deviever Ruiner, but after my time with the Hyperion, I'm gonna hold off until I can plug one up and have a listen...
Live long and stay fuzzy. Hoping to replace the Big Muff with a Little Big Muff and add a tuner, also want to swap out the Vox Delaylab for a EHX memory toy and ModTone Coliseum Reverb

Uncle Grandfather, if you're replying to a post directly before yours, you may wanna consider not quoting the entire post (especially if it's a long one).

Been lurking for a little bit, thought I'd introduce myself.
I play guitar for Dusty McQueen:
https://www.facebook.com/dustymcq
and soon to play my first show as bassist for Redbush:

I dig the vibes of the forum, it's a great read when it's been -20 outside like it has been for the last week!

Hey, everyone! I've been hanging out in the Doom Room for a few weeks now but I've finally made my way over here.
