Then you have 2 options based on you current financial state:
1) sell stuff you love/use now and live with the consequence of new awesome gear!

2) sell stuff eventually and live with the consequence of new awesome gear later!

I play for $krilla at the moment so I've put a very serious ban on my whims and I'm only allowed to buy new gear that I use on the gigs that will earn money or that will replace existing gear that earns money. It sucks. Yet I persevere.


(I also don't include buying algos for the h9... That's like a new effect weekly)

Yeah, and it isn't the first time that I have done 1 or 2. I think my main concern now is patience and whether I should apply some. I still have GAS for a few more pedals that would work well with my Bass Rig and my synths. I do have an awesome controller coming (http://misa-digital.myshopify.com) So I should probably hold on a bit, I don't want to sell something and then be in a place of regret 3 weeks.
I also have some weird concern that I will quit playing real bass and only play the Modular and the other synths with the Tri-Bass. If that does become the case, who cares as long as I am loving it.

Also I'm just curious:

I've seen so many threads on here and talkbass that more or less just call out people with low post counts as noobz and I understand and even subscribe to that sentiment, but should I refrain from this thread til I earn my stripes around here? I don't wanna be that guy. Yet I don't really feel the tinkling to post anywhere but here and the gear forum?

I think you fit in around here I have read some of your posts on TB and cracked up. I hardly post on TB anymore but I do glance it, especially when at work since I can't get on ILF there. Half the time when I do post on TB, I am being kind of a dick, so much douchery there.

I took about 5-6 years away from playing the bass, worst mistake ever. I'll never regain that time and have had to put in so much more effort these last couple years to try and redevelop my technique, and really...it was like picking up a bass for the first time again.

I dunno. I'm not into the synth thing very much. I'm not smart enough to do it. Even if I was, I get bored easy when they're too many knobs and switches...more frustrated and give up, but it's kind of like being bored??

Play your god damn bass like you want to make love to it and still have fun with those mods. DO IT!!!!!!!!!

For me buttz and bewbz are both so much fun that they're equal. But the question was favorite squishy thing, and I like firm buttz. And I don't care for their squishy interior.
