meh, I still feel the need to play Devil's advocate from a strictly legal perspective.

Religious freedoms allow for certain exceptions to the law under the first amendment. It's more of a case by case basis. It seems that the parents aren't going to press charges, so from a legal perspective this will not be resolved.

I'm a reform Jew, and we don't do this, and I can't really say anything on behalf of the orthodox Jews in my area but at some point enough is enough. Some of the ways things were done in teh past, should be left in the past.
