all she can say is "what I can't hear you, is anyone there? i'm hanging up now."
I call my cell phone, everything is working fine.
call back 2:22
"hello???? any one there? speak up..." hangs up
I call my cell phone again, yup working fine. (wtf?)
call back 2:25
"hello hello" (i'm clearly speaking to her and she's just not hearing me, replying "if you're just going to call and say nothing stop calling"
call right back 2:26 from my cell phone
"sorry sir we don't take orders from cell phones" "but mam, i've been trying to call you and you can't hear me on my house phone, and it's clearly working because i checked it with my cell phone, anyhow i'd really like to order a pizza" "then call back on your home phone sir"
call back AGAIN from the home phone.
some other lady picks up the phone
"hello sir, it's now too late to order food" hangs up.
I call back AGAIN. 2:29, original lady answers.
"hello" "Hello mam, i've been trying to order from you for the last 10 mins and I don't understand why you haven't been able to hear me, we JUST spoke on my cell phone. I'm glad you can hear me now. my number is ***-***-***** and if you check your system you'll see that I order food from you often, I'd really like to order some food before it's too late, i don't understand why you weren't able to hear me before" "the other lady just told you it's too late to order, why are you still calling? you have to stop prank calling us" "lady, i just want to order food, is 2:20 just too late for you to take an order? i'm just up late at night and typically always .... bla bla bla bla

you know you're the only place that does delivery at this hour and you're food might be delicious but it really is overpriced, i should do better then ordering it anyways.

HELLO? if you're there i can't hear you??" thing when people call in for a delivery order 5 minutes before i was s'posed to get off a buncha times to get out of it.

I'm glad to know this is a thing in the delivery world.

I know it's a bitch to take orders in the last minutes but they're actually open until 3am.
They used to do delivery until 3am, but changed it to 2:30 two years ago. fine.
I know from experiance that at 2:29, i'm running it too close and they might not even pick up the phone.
Is it too far from reality that people are up at night and actually want to order food as late as possible,
lately the latest I wait until was 2:20, seemed always ok.
but if that's gonna be too late, just fucking tell me... something. I'm a human being, I can understand,

isn't it easier to ignore the phone then to toy with customers?
