well, no, actually. the thread was all about telling people not to disagree with the moderators' PC moderating policies. folks took exception to that, and, as always happens when one disagrees with the PC position, the reaction was "we're morally correct, so shut up." and eleven pages later, here we are, because appealing to an illusory moral authority as justification for an arbitrary policy based on political whim is not a substitute for a substantive argument. i happily cede the point that Tom can do whatever he wants with the forum, but you're never going to win the greater argument because your position is morally and logically untenable.

Not true, check the title of the thread. This thread was not telling anyone they couldn't disagree with anything, it was simply asking people to "Stop the bitching about the mods". You are free to disagree but please stop bitching.

You haven't actually argued anything, there is no "greater argument" when discussing the forum rules and guidlines of ILF.
If you wish to discuss this "Greater Argument", start your own thread (or forum for that matter).

This is very simple. ILF has but one rule: "Don't be an Asshole", for this rule to be enforced someone has to determine what constitutes being an Asshole.
That person is Tom Dalton and he has decided that using certain certain words, in his opinion, makes you an Asshole.
In the context of ILF it doesn't matter what you or anyone else thinks, feels or believes.
If you can't abide by the rules or are offended by their existence feel free to leave.
The Internet is a big place, I'm sure you'll find somewhere that better suits your beliefs and interest.
