I saw him a couple of years ago in Chicago, he recently played on his 90th birthday here, the first time he played here he was like 12 or 13. His daughter Anoushka was pretty amazing too, as in at Sitar.

And I know where you are coming from... I have spent a lot of time wallowing in the past... and I have tons of songs I wrote during those times that make me cringe to the point where I almost feel burning all my idea tapes of the stuff would be healthy...
