Ahhh man, seeing this thread is like catching up with an old friend.
I went on my annual winery tour with the mrs on Long Island a couple weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised. Long Island is definitely upping their game. I had a bomb-ass Petit Verdot at Wölffer Estate in Southampton, it was amazing. Channing Daughters in Matituck impressed us, too. Our favorite there was the Due Uve, which is a Syrah/Blaufränkisch blend.
