Not that it matters at this point, but that Wilkinson bridge is both string through and top loading, so unless you were set on through body, the crooked holes wouldn't have mattered. Plug and fill them, sand some body contours, and finish.neonblack wrote: I wonder if this body would be more trouble than its worth. There aren't any contours and the holes in the back look crooked.

Yeah, I was just hesitant to take a risk. I'm just a nervous Nelly.
I'm getting that Wilkinson humbucker bridge for this one. Thanks for showing those to me. Ill definitely remember the other one for any future builds.

Re: Baritone Telemaster Build - Phase 2: Buying/Waiting
Hey! This is still happening. Just very slowly, as I predicted.
I have the bari jazzmaster neck in my possession. The body has been so much trouble. One guy backed out on building it, and the other guy is having some trouble with his PayPal account, so he can't take my money, so the build can't continue for the moment.
Anyways, if it gets worked out, the body will be routed for a single coil neck and a bridge humbucker and I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip the volume and put the tone cap on a switch. Straight riff machine.

Do you have a volume pedal or a kill switch pedal? Cause if not you might want one with no volume on the guitar.

I have a tuner that mutes. I was thinking instead of a volume knob just have a killswitch on the guitar. Not sure yet about all that.

Re: Baritone Telemaster Build - Phase 2: Buying/Waiting
That'd be cool. The only drawback would be no cleanup, or oscilation control on certain fuzzies, like AB-synth and the like. But I have a feeling those won't be a problem for you.
In the past, I've wired and SG and a Dot Studio for vol/vol, with no tone, cause I always kept it cranked anyways. However, I find myself actually using the tone knobs on my tele and strat.

Re: Baritone Telemaster Build - Phase 2: Buying/Waiting
I use the tone either full blast or all the way back and I'm finding that I'd rather flick a switch for control over it.
I didn't think about oscillating fuzzes. I've been meaning to get a volume pedal anyways.

I actually prefer the tone switching too. The switching on my Welson is pretty awesome...two basic sounds (lead/rhythm), then a bass and treble mix or either, and one for either bass or treble in either mode. So like 6 different tone sounds with really different sounds on all of them.
Really neat to see what you come up with man!

Re: Baritone Telemaster Build - Phase 2: Crying/Waiting
Well this is stalling in the worst way. Took a chance on this guitar builder but it doesn't look good. Even if this body turns out perfect, the communication is so bad you'd think it's a Seppuku brand guitar.
Oh and the money is all tied up so i can't order one of the other guitar bodies I want. FUCK.

Yeah, not through Reverb where I placed the order, but through PayPal. Sucks cause theres a single pickup jag body for like $80+shipping that I would totally jump on if i could
