Music: I tilt shoegaze and psych, but also dig triphop, glitchy stuff, electronic stuff though generally more head stuff than dance club, oddball singer songwriters, and non-cliche rock. I like some of the "nu jazz" I've heard quite a bit (Araset, Westerhaus, Molvaer). Very interested in any hip hop or r&b that would be musically and harmonically interesting to a shoegazer--beats and rhymes alone don't send me. And definitely your music. Oh, and I have vinyl and a decent turntable, but I never get to spend time with them--cd or digital delivery lets me listen to music in my life. If you do the cassette thing, that's easier to listen to then vinyl.
Food: vegetarian but adventurous within that constraint.
Gear: I don't delve enough into ILF sponsor and sharktank dirt because I DIY fuzzes, but I know I'm missing out and was gonna start trying some stuff in the new year. I like blown-out, broken, and textured sounds a lot. I don't expect anyone to spring for MASF, a CT5, Judder, Hexe, or similar stuff, but those sorts of flavors of granular, glitchy, pitchy equilibrium destroyers really grab me. Anything that goes near to those places in a budget space would be the bomb. I have shit tons of delays, and probably don't need more, but I love them, so . . . What would be totally useful and loved would be expression pedals, CV sequencers--stuff that lets me leverage my current gear. That stuff may seem boring, but a 10k and a 50k expression pedal would keep me tweaking all year. Homemade gifts are not only welcome, but beloved.
Oh, and I waive the pedal requirement if anyone wants to send me cool old digital rack stuff like Midiverb II or a stylaphone synth. (What happened with all those Gakken synth things everybody was buying all at once this last year?) Pedal kits are cool, too.
Like D'arcy, no controlled substances or illegal stuff.
