FINALLY released some music!

Post by PanicProne »

To keep it short, I/we finally released some music with an old project of mine. It's taken forever, over ten years, because life/being in a band/biting of more than one can chew etc but it finally happened on sunday. Two records. One more hopeful/melodic(/ slightly proggier/more weird measures?) and one darker, despair, the inevitable. It's been the main reason I've purchased gear over the years (sometimes to use/for inspiration, sometimes to just survive until things started going reasonably well again).

I used a lot of pedals one the recordings, whether it's noticable or not and it felt great. Purchasing all this gear over the years and finally putting it to "real" (just having fun is real too, but you know what I mean!) use on a recording felt so damn rewarding. Also, if it weren't for this community here, I would never have managed to pull through with it all. It kinda kept me on track, that what I was into was worth my time (which even so, it always isn't!). So thank you.

If you feel like it. Please give it a listen. And if you do, feel free to be brutally honest about what you think.
Inspirations are too many to mention, some of them can be heard more than others, but main ones are/were: Oceansize, Thrice, Cult of Luna and Cave In.

And yes, I'll post a pedalboard pic in that tread soon! :P

i've listened to the newest EP, and i think it's wonderful. the playing is great without being over-normal, the material has interesting variations yet hangs together as songs/tracks/whatever they call them now. i was never bored. the only thing i didn't care for was the death-metal-scream-style vocals, but i'm not saying they were bad, just that that's a style that doesn't resonate with me personally. it was worth the 10 years. you guys should all be fucking proud.
