Acid Etching Tutorial a 3 to 4 part Youtuber

Post by Jwar »

Heh tuber.

So I decided to do a tutorial. It's pretty in depth I think. Lots of talking. 18 minutes of straight talking for the first video. LOL. BUT! Good info. Please watch if you're interested, if not, it's whatever. Thanks loves.

Thanks! Hopefully I don't sound pretentious or like a dick or anything. I tried not to. LOL. I'm a cranky motherfucker sometimes...

Part 4, the last part is uploading to youtube right now. So in ten hours when youtube actually is done....sigh....it will be up!!

I made this way too long. ahahaha

that was awesome. learned a load. about to order a couple of enclosures and have a go at it :) did you end up laser etching as well?

I'm also wondering, can I just free hand some shit on an enclosure with an enamel paint marker instead of going the inkjet transfer route?

thanks again for doing this :)

See I knew I forgot to address something. Damn it.

You can use an enamel paint pen to do art or nail polish. I would recommend the enamel for ease of use and that fact that it will resist the acid longer.

Now you can still use ferric chloride with that type of etch. Actually it might work better, but I fucking hate that shit. Slow crappy, crap ass crap! LOL

I didn't laser it yet. I'm going to have it put together then do the labels. I'll post pictures when it's done.

Oh and glad it helped!!!!
