He's crazy good at Dark Souls and I love the funny challenges he comes up with, really zany stuff. I love watching pros play too! It's a ton of fun for me as a spectator since I don't really have time to play ever but also because I never really was that good at video games haha, I'm kind of a clutz, so watching guys play them well and progress and own is more fun than watching me screw it up.

There's other guys on Twitch and YouTube that are great at Dark Souls and fun to watch, I'd suggest these channels: EpicNameBro, Vageta311, Rurikhan, and Mitch from GameFront.com, all those guys are really knowledgeable expert Dark Soulsers.

It's great hey! I'd take my time with it too.. I'd wanna explore every nook and cranny. It's a beautiful new world, very pretty scenes and very scary dungeons, it's awesome looking. I kinda think it looks a little easier than Demon's Souls/Dark Souls based on a couple things like being able to teleport from the get-go and being able to fast-roll with carry weight up to 70%.. big difference with those two things. Not a complaint though, still a merciless and badass game like expected!

Watched the first two hours of Lobos playing DSII. I like it. I'll try out the other guys Ryan suggested, and also one of my favourites, Northernlion.

I take it back, DSII has made some things more convenient/less pointless but this is not an easy game, it's brutally tough. Small spoiler, but after you hand in the 4 large boss souls, it turns a corner on difficulty bigtime. So it's still just as brutal and unforgiving as its predecessors, they didn't easy mode it with those things I mentioned.

I love how you can burn a bonfire ascetic and make the area connected to that bonfire tougher.. it respawns the enemies, adds new enemies, respawns the loot and adds new loot.. cool feature to change up the game for advanced players.

So you guys that are playing now, what classes and gear and zones are you playing?

I agree! I think the PC version of DSII will be the definitive version with the best graphics and frame rate, sucks to not be in on the game from the get-go but I think the PC will be the main/best platform for the game.

Very cool Danny! You and me watching DSII together, separated by an ocean and some mountains etc. I like Northernlion too! The guys I mentioned will go through the whole game, completionist style. Well not really Lobos, he's more of a speedrunner/challenge runner.. he beats the game in his first 24 hour sitting but he gets tired and starts speedrunning it at the end, running through zones to bosses.. I'm watching slower, more methodical guys now really go through the game and see it all.

Yeah? I might try a few of the others you mentioned, then, because I prefer methodical playing. As long as their commentary is entertaining and thorough, I'm happy to sit and watch for an hour or so.

currently equipped with :

Fire Longsword. Old Knight's Shield.
i actually Bought the Ring of the Evil Eye from the cat "Sweet Shalquoir" that's in Majula.

it wasn't worth the Souls. it's supposed to give back HP when you defeat enemies - it doesn't give enough to be effective.

the whole Effigy / Death / Lower HP bar thing .. gets Frustrating.
as - so many enemies can kill you with 1- 2 hits.

i could go the magic or long range method.
but .. i find it more fun when it's close combat.
