It can't really track the sub frequencies of a bass very well. It works from about the 10th fret up but the "sub" comes out as pulses because the frequency is to low to divide. Noise makers would probably love it. We are working on some bass centered effects though.
...so, I'd be thrilled if I was proven wrong, but according to my earlier experience with octave down fx - not this one - and the quoted answer to my question, it might not be Your choise for synth bass if You wanted it to actually track the bass notes..

...BUT perhaps You're looking for gnarly squarewave synth sound with a warbly glitch low end noise...


One has to remember also that only a very few bass octavers either can track notes below A, and getting slightly glitchy with the tracking sometimes juts adds to the charm
