ILMW 2019
Hey guys! So, talked to Jack (Dropping Acid) and he won't be able to host this year. Wanted to see who would be down for a change of state or if anyone else in interested in hosting? I may (big maybe) be able to host it at property my folks own. It's on 43 arces, so it'd be bad ass if we could do that. The place is located in Cleveland, MO. Not a for sure thing though however. So, I thought, let's have a discussion here. I drive 10 hours to go every year and I look forward to it and love doing it. So, anyone else have any ideas? Thoughts? Who would want to attend?
If I can swing the farm property we could do a LOT of stuff.
Bon fire (even though I'm allergic to the shit).
Everyone could sleep in the building (there's an enclosed garage with an apartment in there).
People could drink as much as they want as long as we clean up.
There may be a few more options as well in my area but it's pretty far for some of you all who come. So, let's talk. Who is interested in making something happen this year? I'm down for whatever.

That’d be awesome if you came still!
Surprised no one else has said anything? No interest?

I would love to do something.
Can we jam in the garage? Kansas summer heat though...ugh. Totally into the fire idea.

Re: ILMW 2019
The garage is like 2.000 square feet I think, so plenty of room to jam and it has power! Won't be as nice as Jack's place but being on that land at night makes up for it. There is an insane neighbor there...I need to talk to the city prior to doing it to make sure she doesn't bother us. lol. I'm sure it will be fine though. We could possibly jam outside as well, which would be cool as fuck. I could get some generators and we could go way the fuck back on the land and jam.
I agree with the heat. I'd just have to make sure it's at a time where it's not going to be as gross. Night time during the summer is definitely more tolerable.
Also, I'm down for making this a two day event or three day to make it more worth the travel time if people are into that! I'll go make a phone call right now about all this!

Sad to say that I won’t be able to make the trip this year. Have my sights set on ILFMW2020.

Dwarfcraft HQ party?
Otherwise KS will be Jwar, Jonny, myself, Vernors, a big fire, bag of weed, and the mailman.
Still time to plan or make arrangements.
Serious props to Jwar for offering up a possibility.

Sounds lit, JWAR, but I'd be unlikely to make it.
I looked into hosting this year, too--similar setup. Relatively isolated, big-ass polebarn, spaces to stay. But I don't own it, and was shot down. My dad and his dad live there, and they basically run a curio museum for insane vehicles. Which would have been pretty rad to spend time at, but 90 year old grandpa is very protective of his weird shit.
Tangent: a few weeks ago I picked up a Dnepr Russian military bike with my dad. It has a powered sidecar. He wants to mount a fake machine gun on it 'for the grandkids.'
They also have several go-carts, an amphibous attack vehicle, around a dozen vintage cars in various states of roadworthiness (Hudson, ancient Chevy trucks, VW Thing/Bug/Bus), a motorhome, tractors, dirtbikes, a homebrew 6' schoolbus, &c. The centerpiece is a full-scale WWII replica tank.

Would have been cool, but alas.

Let's just all vote for Ben and Louise to hold it at their house and guilt them into it.
If it doesn't happen this year, it's no biggie. Maybe I can jump on a plane and go to one of the other ones? I've never met some of you folks from outside this here area. Or maybe, fuck it, just wait.
I just don't want to stop doing it. It seems like when you get older you stop making fun stuff a priority, which is sad to me. So fuck that noise!
