Yamaha G series reverb issues
So I hear really great things about these amps, and I also hear that the reverbs tend to die on them. There’s a bunch near me right now and half of them have no verb. Does anyone know how expensive/difficult it would be to replace the tank on one of these amps? I have zero skill or aptitude so it’d have to be REAL easy for me to DIY...

Tanks are super easy to swap but I don't know if it is the tank that fails or something else.

I can only speak to the ii series, but hell yeah. My G100 212ii is amazing. As Drod said, tanks are easy to replace, and these amps use standard RCA cables to connect so those are easy to replace too. You can sometimes grab them cheap and then worse comes to worse and you need to take it to a tech and you're still into a killer amp for not a lot of cash.
