Question for heroin users

Post by Ugly Nora »

A heroin addict once told me this song sounds like heroin feels. Is that accurate? If not, what does?

Unrelated, but while I'm here, I've always enjoyed songs that sound like trains. Por exemplo:

what else?

You forgot Fantastic Planet.
That whole album is basically, "I'm high on heroin and shit's getting' weird."
Since I always forget:

Well, the singer died of a heroin overdose:

BTW, can't answer your original question ... oh, there was a great Troma movie/documentary called Story of a Junky from the 80s ... this was when NYC was a real dangerous/shitting/porny dump so the cityscapes are really gritty and grimy:

I would say Psychocandy: real fuzzy, but strangely soothing.

I've never touched the stuff, but William S Burroughs did a reading of his book Junky and it's available here: http://ubu.com/sound/burroughs_junky.html
Definitely worth the listen. Its an autobiography and a large portion of the book is about heroin being a driving force in his life.

waitn for the man sums it up....but after you have settled down and been exiled from the place of routine its more like this....

just say NO kids.

its really is like anything else you never know til you try...or live the life of.

and its not so much the lyrics although it hit the nail on the head, its more the looseness the hum the build up, the dead quite after then the hum again in your body which your mind gets confused by chemical offset.

I like train songs. Chunka-chunka-chunka-chunka

I really like the actual sound of trains. I think that's where I started to love noise. The sounds of sheer mass careening across two thin steel bars.

I don't know anything about heroin, but surprised we could bring it and VU up and not this (or is that a cover above me?):

Never done it, but I always imagined that song ^^^ as a good indicator of the experience.

Pretty sure that's just romanticizing it though. All of my friends who've done it kept a trash can nearby to puke in. Funz.

I've done opium a few times, never smack. Opium is like floating on the softest, warmest and most magical cloud you can. Everything is dreamy and wonderful and feels fucking amazing.

I don't see the Rolling Stones sounding like an opium high.

I can only imagine how good heroin must feel. I knew better than to try.
