Fuzz suggestions

Guys, I have finally found the right place. I am a guitar player and I love fuzz, but I am having trouble which pedal will best suit my desires and needs. I have a Big Muff right now, and it's not quite versatile enough for me. I play in worship bands most of the time, but I make post rock/post metal music and play rock the rest of the time. My Big Muff gets the job done, but I'm looking for a fuzz that I can dial down to almost a transparent mid/high gain overdrive, but also crank up to full force crazy explosion levels. I'm looking into the smallsound/bigsound TAFM. do any of you know of a pedal that would better fit than the TAFM, or would you say that's a good choice?

Have you looked into the various Fuzz Face circuits? Those are sort of legendary for their volume knob interaction.

But yes, Fuzz Faces are most likely the pedals you seek if you're wanting those great OD shades via the guitar volume knob.

On that note though, have you experimented much with your volume knob while using your Big Muff? I've got a couple of Wren & Cuff muff clones that clean up surprisingly well. Also some fun to be had with very low gain settings on the pedals themselves.

I have experimented quite a bit with the Big Muff. I usually set the sustain very low and have the volume about halfway, with tone a bit brighter. I like the way it sounds, but i would prefer something a tad more transparent that retains my original tone a little more.

Fixd deluxe isn't a bad choice and has tons of tones, from ridiculous fuzz dialed all the way back to boost

Boss FZ-2 or the cheaper behringer version do as well,
