Re: Deadwood
I've always heard good things. Is it one of the HBO shows streaming on Amazon Prime?

Fucking love Deadwood. Then again, my favorite movie ever is The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Re: Deadwood
Deadwood is one of the best TV series ever.
The dialogues are wonderful, sounds like Shakespeare with "cocksucker" added every three words or so to me.

Ian McShane's performance alone is worth the price of admission.

I'm watching it on HBOGO. I'm not sure if AP shares HBOGO content.t-rey wrote:I've always heard good things. Is it one of the HBO shows streaming on Amazon Prime?

Everyone should totally go watch that, High Plains Drifter and the first and second seasons of Hell on Wheels, then we can start a Western thread.

Re: Deadwood
Yeah, the only, **ONLY** bad thing about that show was the unfortunate way they had to hastily leave things when it got cancelled—certainly no fault of theirs. Apparently at the time it was just too expensive to produce with the sets/extras, but um... guess that attitude has changed with GOT. Of course the latter's been an undeniably more successful series.
But yep, it's on Prime (all of HBO's older shows are, not sure for how long now that HBO NOW has come out). Also there were rumors of this forever after the cancellation, which gradually drifted into myth. This year, though...

And yeah, one of the best shows ever (I can't split it with "The Sopranos" and "The Rockford Files".)
