How's your job?

So I just left one of my part-time jobs for the other part-time job I had so I could get more hours in because I kept pissing my boss off since I could only come in at night.
Now, I don't know how long this job will last because the business end seems to just be one giant shit hurricane.
I do electronics repairs now, though, instead of inventory.

I have been staring at apartment building plans for days… eyes, very, tired.

I'm spending this week trying to clean up other people's long overdue mess and the expectation is that "I spend as much time as it takes to get it done." My project manager is inept.

Then on Friday I have my annual review and I anticipate my attitude will be ripe.

That's pretty much the same boat I'm in.
I'm replacing the current tech, but he hasn't been around often enough or long enough for me to actually have a single clue how to do my job.

I'm supposed to be able to troubleshoot and repair around 10 different intercom consoles (which get incredibly complicated) all by myself within the next few months.
After 3 weeks on the job I've only learned to repair and work on one intercom and an amplifier.

But my boss seems to expect me to be able to do the same work as a guy who's been doing this shit for the last 14 years only within a few weeks.

My job is awesome, but a lot of work and super stressful. I do broadcast sound at SiriusXM. Basically I record music all day.
I work accross many genres, so that's especially cool and get to work with some of my favorite musicians.

At the same time though, my team of 3 (I'm not the boss) does over 400 sessions of recording, mixing, and mastering a year. Plus we solve any audio needs that go beyond the norm for everyone else. Plus we run sound for all our special events like Town Hall style interviews with audiences, or DJ events. So super stressful and tiring at times. A lot of high pressure situations, especially with live broadcasts. And very fast paced at times.

I love it.

I'm server captain/assistant manager at the fanciest restaurant in town. I'm basically just a glorified waiter with more responsibilities. The money is good for the amount of hours I work though. I work as few as 4 hours a day sometimes and at most 8 hours but it is a high pressure job, even if everything is so trivial in the grand scheme of things.

I do get to wait on celebrities occasionally. I've waited on Samuel L. Jackson once and I wait on Chloe Moretz about once a month. I've also gotten to know a lot of high-ups and C.E.O.s of big companies and I'm fairly certain most of them would hire me pretty much immediately.

Dead end job. Working here for 10 years and no pay raise, a pay cut because the lying CEO said he "didn't need someone of my capability" and thanks to the recession that seems to be still going on for the average joe, jobs are few and far between in my career field (graphic design) and (not exaggerating) hundreds of applications for any decent job.
Started a youtube channel and learning video editing as well as recording hoping I can somehow make this into a money making venture.

Absofuckinglutely crazy. Turns out that rebranding a national-sized company that's never done anything remotely organized in terms of branding before involves a shit-ton of moving parts. But I really dig my team, and get along with all of my coworkers, so it's gravy. Crazy gravy.

Re-branding sounds like a nightmare, although it seems like a necessity given the chaos you mention.

I like my USA team a ton but they are damn inefficient,

listening to my Sr. Buyer meet with a sales rep now,
a rep that we will never do business with in addition to what we do now.
But he has been at it for 30 minutes
Went past nice to annoying for me at 15 minutes

It's a nightmare, but it turns out that it's the kind of thing I enjoy. "Hey everybody, let's totally reconsider EVERY GODDAMN THING WE PRINT OR PUT OUR NAME ON FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS, OK?" And I'm the nutball who says "Sure, sounds great!"

Dude, sales is brutal. I have no idea how anybody does sales. And I LIKE to talk to people, too.

EDIT: actually, looking back, it's been closer to an 11 month process. Longer if you consider when we first got word that we were hiring a new VP of Branding. Time flies!

I can't remember the last time a sales person came in here for anything we would need or use,

I set up and operate 6 axis grinders. I make components for surgical tools and various bone drills and bone reamers. at times I have to hold a +/- .0001" tolerance.

I enjoy it well enough. Don't care too much when I have to go out of town for months at a time with little weekend breaks every 2 weeks. But I enjoy what I'm doing and I enjoy the hours since I get off at 3:30 so I have a ton of time to do many things with that time.

also no one directly over me keeping tabs is nice and rather flexible in what I do and how i handle different things that come up.
