In my 3 piece, I'm the singer/guitarist and I've always been on the right side of the stage from the audience perspective, I think I stand there mostly so I don't have to worry about hitting my bassist with my headstock

I haven't played in a band in a while, but I'm always next to the drummer, left hand side when looking on from the audience's perspective. Bass player and guitarist/vocalist in front. I simply don't want to stand in front. I'm shy. Also, I like keeping an eye on the drummer, both for syncing better and for the occational funny eye contact/smiles/shits and giggles.

Guitar, in a band with 2 guitars, bass, acoustic, keyboards and drums. I'm always to the right of the stage when looking at the audience, next to the drummer, behind the other guitarist and the bassist and next to the drummer. My amp is 90 degrees from the audience, I use it as a monitor and just get mic'd. I tried the other side of the stage next to the keyboardist but I play too loud for him

i like having the drummer and keyboard on the sides facing in, and then the rest of the dudes in the middle in a line.

Usually whatever side someone has put the guitar cab.
Otherwise, I stand on the middle side, facing topwise.

The ideal scenario is The Ramones: an equal number of guitar and bass full stacks on either side of the drummer so it doesn't matter where you're actually standing.

Sitting on the drummer's shoulders, forming a tower of power. The less sexy, yet just as intimate version of the "two-person Voltron".

I think it is assumed that they jammed you in the middleAncient Astronaught wrote:This is Drummerist! Why am I not allowed to apply? I am outraged!!!!!
our drummer is on the far right however
Grand piano in the middle
I am next to the piano on the left
my amp faces his back and I run a line out
keyboard next to me
acoustic and singers in front
I like it back there
when I played in real bands I liked being on the right side up front if I had to sing
oh I play guitar btw

If you specifically place your kit somewhere other than in the middle at the back then you can applyAncient Astronaught wrote:This is Drummerist! Why am I not allowed to apply? I am outraged!!!!!

If 4 piece and I am singing I am usually in the center. If I am just playing guitar or it is a three piece I tend to be on the left or if viewing from the audience, the right.

Solo stuff: I play guitar and sing. Amps and speakers for the backing tracks are behind me along with projections, while I'm front and center failing like a madman for 30 mins.
Band Stuff: I play bass and sing. Usually I'm in front or where ever is most convienient...and flailing around like a madman for 30 mins.
