Reverb vs eBay

Post by fishtankdork »

Alright fellas, I see alot of you browse reverb and such and it got me wondering, is reverb just as a successful platform for selling than eBay is? Personal expeiernces and Any Pros or cons. I've never used it before, and quite frankly I'm getting sick of Ebays shit.

I just bought my first item off of Reverb and it was just as easy as using ebay.

The only potentially dangerous thing is that the seller selects what forms of payment
they are willing to accept from a list that includes Paypal, cash, check, money order, CC etc.
As a buyer or a seller the only form of payment I would use is Paypal as the others don't
offer as much security or recourse if something goes wrong or is an outright scam.

Also, they also only take 3.5% from the seller which is nice.

I'll probably list the Dismal Ax that I have up in the B/S/T soon and see how that goes. :idk:

I've bought 1 thing on reverb, and sold 4-5. Still pretty new to it, but so far it's much better than ebay.

Just posted the Dismal Ax: http://reverb.com/item/100016-dismal-ax ... -sc-0-1303

Setting up the listing was pretty simple and would be even easier if you use Google Chrome.
They make it harder to upload pics when using a different browser.

We'll see how it goes. I'll update if it sells.

Whoa, that thing is super cool. I'd totally buy that off of you if I had the cash.

That's good to hear about Reverb. I've had some stuff up on here that isn't getting much love, so I'll have to see about listing it all on Reverb tonight when I get home.
