Never done this myself (never been a DS 1 fan :p) but this guy's mods are quite popular and successful !

These mods are quite old now, maybe there are some new ones. With a simple google, you'll find loads. But there should be someone here that can be more helpful than me ! ;)

The tremolo mod is cool. One simple connection makes it behave like a pick sensitive distorted tremolo. The harder you dig in, the less trem you hear.

Not the pdf Ryan refers to, but here's one: http://urso94.free.fr/techniguitare_com ... 1%20us.pdf

Also, here's the trem mod:

The stuff on Casper Electronics is good too...http://casperelectronics.com/finished-pieces/boss-ds-1/

I think the casper mod and trem mod don't work together though, so don't be surprised when nothing happens (in certain settings) if you end up putting those on switches.

ooh that looks kinda complex
bob the robot gave me a secret santa modded ds1
it does this weird blipping
like pitch down repeats at some settings
but basically its just farty lowend nastiness
ive wanted to try that trem mod with it
i bet it would be fun if it worked
seeing that picture im not sure whats stopping me

and what i was talkin about was essentially that link jero
but there was about 20 pages
it was a collection of the same kinda stuff
just all in one place
i see it as a pdf cause im usin an ipad i guess

hhhmmmmm My DS1 is a 2009 model... and the circuit board is different to both ones i have seen for the trem mod... and i cant get a good picture, dammit... Is it likely to be an issue? Its just the green conductive coating extends through more solder joints than in the pictures...

I've seen mention of a Penny Pedals DS-1 mod. Anyone know what that one is like?

Random findings...

Pretty involved thread on some bass mods
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/boss- ... ed-461804/

pulled from here http://www.ilovefuzz.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=8871

and this one gets right to the point
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/penny ... ve-737776/

Might have to try these soon. I have a ds1 that's forever left wide open in a drawer.
