So this happened to my bandmate's guitar at one of our gigs:
I have been searching ebay for a replacement neck since a couple of weeks, but none have come up. I'm guessing the U2 neck that Dan Guitars is selling (http://www.danguitars.com/PARTS.html) would work as a replacement, but they are currently not shipping to Europe and shipping is very expensive too so I was hoping for some other options.
Does anyone have an idea as how to get this guitar up and running again? It is one of the Chinese made Danelectros and it's a 25" scale. Getting the neck repaired is out of the question I guess (or ridiculously expensive)? Other necks that might fit the guitar?
I always thought Dan guitars was the place for Danelectro customer service, so thanks for the hint. Will be contacting them! You think they'd sell a neck seperately?
It seems like Danelectro does have its own customer support: http://www.danelectro.com/service.html
So we'll see if they want to help us out. Dan guitars is just too expensive (225 dollars + customs would be more or less the same as buying another DC59 on the used market).
I might have a dano neck, let me check the scale and dimensions.
Edit: Yeah, I have one but it appears to be for a lefty guitar. MIK. Alum lefty nut, and the heel has this weird offset to it. Not sure what It came off off, I got it with bunch of parts being sold together.

It would be awesome if that fit and you'd be willing to part with it! I hope to have time to take the neck of my bandmate's one this weekend so I can check what the heel looks like.
Don't know if he heard back from Danelectro yet...
Heh, he hit a cymbal with it at a wrong angle so it was pretty stupid. Normal use will not cause neck snapping. It was a pretty great guitar actually, especially considering how little it cost
