Ebay

Post by devideva »

I always thought the peer review n=system keep people honest. But I learned over the last couple months that Power Seller can have their negative feedback removed. EbAY also allows multi identifications. Some power sellers (must take in 2,000 bucks for three months, get the kudos while the rest of us don't get any redress. Those sellers with a thousand or more 100 percent reviews have all their negatives removed. This twerp by name of bigjimguitars-stringed_instrument_auctions, dflatblues. This shmuck centers his whole world around his Ebay. I gave up Ebay is now just commercial. When I started going there a long time back there were deals. Thanks to Ernest James Mead I no longer mess with Ebay.

The most frustrating thing is spending hours on the phone with them, and they promise they will assuage your ills. Then they don't do anything. I hate the big machine.

I still use ebay for small things. I buy sets of magic cards on there. That's pretty much it though.

Once your average Joe realized he could easily look up the price of what something was worth online, Ebay became useless.

I love ebay. I buy and sell alot of things. Its a small source of income for me.

Ive left negitive feedback for powersellers in the past that are still there. Ebay doesnt remove all negitive feedback. I dont know exactly how it works but it depends on the situation. Ive never gotten negitive feedback.

I use the sold prices of used gear on ebay to gauge how much I should ask for elsewhere.

How it works is a power seller stays on the phone with the corporation until it gets done. Bylaws of Ebay DO SAY power sellers are given preferential treatment. You complaining about shit to Ebay is different from a power seller complaining. Ebay makes their money on power sellers. It's another case of the haves and have-nots. I talked to three people at Ebay and they all promised me the bogus feedback would be removed or I would receive an email explaining why. They were full of shit on both accounts. The small get smaller, the machine doesn't notice rage, those with some green get the ticket.

doesn't a negative feedback disappear from your % rating after a few months?

i think that the current system is that its a rolling year for the rating %, although the feedbacks remain there if you wanted to trawl through somebodies history

i presume that this means that if i have 1000 positive feedbacks but only sold 2 things in the last year, if i get a neg for 1 i would be stuck with a 50% rating
