So there's a fire in Black Forest CO going really strong right now. Started by possible lighting strike. It's only about 5 miles away from my parents house. I also know a lot of people that live in Black Forest itself.

They're right outside of the evacuation area right now, but that may all change very quickly.

Kinda bummed and super worried right now. Goddammit this fucking sucks.

I've been watching 9 news and it looks pretty bad down there. It's looking like it's going to be another rough summer for Colorado and Wyoming. Stay safe!

Thanks guys. My parents and younger siblings have my grandmas house in Colorado Springs to go to if need be. I already talked to a few of my friends. They say their homes are most likely gone already.

What I want to know is why is there a "Fire Season" now... There was never a "Fire Season" when I lived in CO or CA or any of the other States that now are on Fire every Summer... :grumpy:

Droughts. Big ones. Coupled with terrible snowfall and rainfall from the winter, the whole state is essentially a huge tinder box.

It's just snapshots of our tiny minutia on this rock... There were other "Fire Seasons" in probably 976 ad but nobody remembers...

Tell 'em to go for safeties sake... Better to go visit family or stay somewhere safe than be there at the last minute tryin to save baby pics of their meth hailin satan lover of a son... :hug:

Lol they already have the animals (goats and dogs included) ready to haul out to a friends 11 miles north, and my grandmas house on standby to stay at.

My family is still safe, but the fire is decimating the forest traveling north up highway 83. Monument is in serious trouble, and most of it has been evacuated now. Already talked to at least three people that I know from black forest that have completely lost their homes.

You guys my childhood is burning to the ground right now :(
