I mean i know its funny but actually most of the florida death metal guys used those when they came out.......

best "shit pedal" I found was the Dano Grilled Cheese Distortion. The things it did to a Blue Box were rad. Also running it after a looper and doing manual sweeping of the notch filter with it made for some texturally interesting stuff. Never tried a Death Metal, but certainly would.
