No words.
Violence involved somewhere though.
Horrible, horrible, gruesome violence.

Okay, some words.

"...not looking like an A&F customer entails avoiding a variety of signifiers, such as thick horizontal stripes, plaid, floral jeans (I was surprised to see these in the store last season), clogs...any earth-tones..."

yet wears floral clogs and earth tones in every picture.

"it embodies low-brow elitism," so I'm going to make it even more elitist by calling it performance art.

And if her pretense is a commentary on the A&F brand identity/target market, wearing the one shirt or sweatshirt while trying to eschew the rest of the aesthetic doesn't make sense. Doing that just makes it ironic. Wearing an entire Abercrombie ensemble and then subverting it by not being their target consumer would at least have some subtext.
ie: "You going to the mall?"
"Actually, I'm going to give my dissertation on anti-matter reactions in a vacuum."
"But you're wearing Abercrombie..."
"And?"

Honestly, as this moron is obviously pulling this because of the recent outrage against the abercrombie CEOs comments about not wanting fat people to shop there, im going to drop my two cents on the issue:

Get the fuck over it. So theres a clothing brand geared towards skinny people? Big fucking deal. Its been going on as long as fashion has been around. And i use the term fashion as loosely as i can because abercrombie is certainly not fashion. Abercrombie is diffusion at its basest. Its cheap shitty clothing for middle class people under thirty to identify them as having no individual identity. As far as the fat thing goes...have you tried finding anything above a size 34 at ysl? This is a common practice among high fashion houses. I completely understand it. You have a target demographic and the point of it is that it excludes others. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Its the same reason saint laurent retailed a $1300 hat in their recent s/s. Is the hat worth 1300 physically? No. But projected worth is part of what high fashion is about. You really want to shit on abercrombie and fitch? Point out that theyre closing stores left and right.

As for high school....i was always accepted by a majority of those kids. I got along with most people. There were those that didnt like me because i had spikes on my head, and the awkward standoff when somebody found out id gained more access to their girlfriends panties than they did...but the key is to remember that the abercrombie kids are just as awkward and scared as you, but they just dont channel it creatively..
