Best Jazzmaster trem?

Post by myrrh »

I am going to put a jazzmaster trem in my teardrop, since the bigsby isnt really to my liking..

I have only tried the one on my 62 reissue Jazzmaster which I love.

Are the allparts ones ok? Or should I just buy a Fender one?

I'm thinking of going for a Classic Player one from Fender for one of my projects. They have a screw-in tremolo arm and are a little bit cheaper than the American made ones. My CIJ jag has the trem arm falling out/not staying in place and it's basically the same unit as an American one I think.

The AVRI isn't the same as the MIJ one. The whole thing is nicer, and the arm socket is tighter.

I also totally recommend that johnny mar sig jag staytrem thing. It replaces the socket with one that has a tightening screw, rather than four metal splines which break off eventually
