New Pedal vs. X-Box 360

Post by NihilistNixon »

I have a new cable and all this fancy stuff but lately I've been missing video games quite a bit (esp. Fallout: New Vegas). So I must decide on what I strat saving up for next between the Earthquaker Sea Machine or a new 360. What do you guys think?

What could I do with the CPU?

I'd say get the 360, more pedals is good too but I like having a variety of things around the house to keep myself entertained.

I just play games on the desktop.

New Vegas on even a moderate machine is amazing.

My laptop has a terrible display driver. Like even Youtube videos can cause it to spazz out. Its a very depressing machine.

That's sad, although a moderate desktop used might pay for itself in game savings.

F3 and F3: New Vegas cost me $12 over the Christmas sale on Steam.

There's an annual *huge* game sale coming up around the 4th of July for whatever game convention or other it is, it's literally "I save a couple hundred bucks for the 75-90% off stuff on all the online sites" every year.

This.

As for the PC gaming argument, yeah, it's good. Though, even being a total tech nerd like myself, I prefer consoles over tweaking a gaming PC over and over.

It's easier to just grab a console and roll with it until the next one comes out. :idk:

I tweak a gaming PC once, back up the operating system on install, and in the event of an issue, just hit restore.

No tweaking ever again, updating drivers only when necessary.

I love my PS3 to death. Don't get me wrong, I like pedals too, but my PS3 is what gets me through late nights of no sleep and the boredom associated with my everyday life.

Pedal.

Then pick up one of these for about 30 bucks:

You get both - it's a WIN WIN.

360 for sure man! But if I were you, honestly, I'd either A)pick up a cheap system or B) wait until Microsoft releases the new one. It's coming out next year I think.
