YO! ILF potluck - what would you bring?
the motherfuckin' OKRA thread got me thinking - what do you dudes cook well? what would bring to fill my cavernous fuckin' belly, eh? EH?!
I can make a pot of beans that will make you all weep tears of joy. Jambalaya, too.
Or meatloaf stuffed with mozzarella and mushrooms with a nice tomato/jalapeno sauce.
and Jerk Chicken! who's with me?
more importantly,
WHO HOME BREWS?
Discuss.

I don't know what that is, but I would fuckin' EAT it.
I haven't home brewed in years - I just don't drink enough any more to justify it - but when I do it's almost always one of my old home brew buddies.
surely someone here gets all DIY with the hops and whatnot.

Cream Cheese Sopapillas....word.
Or something stereo-typically cajun....gumbo, Creole Dough....I also make a bad ass black bean soup...with ham, sausage, and a ton of Port wine.
We started brewing our own mead this month...but it's our first brew. No idea how good it's gonna be.

I can't cook fucking anything to save my life. I survived on ramen and those lipton rice/pasta sides until I met my wife.
But I can homebrew pretty fucking well, so I'd happily supply the beer. And yes, I do also grow my own hops. My yield this year was kinda crappy (less than a pound), but I'm setting up much longer vine lines next year, so I hope to at least triple that.

Yeah, I don't eat meat anymore, but I used to like corned beef. I love Reuben sandwiches. Tempeh is a good substitute.
(Even though I don't eat meat, this thread is making me hungry.)
Life's too short to drink crappy beer. Make every beer count. Beer's good food.
(I'm kinda surprised there's not a home brew thread in DIY. Everybody knows brewing beer and building stompboxes go hand in hand.)
