i've been there. it's about 50 miles north of me on the Pacific coast of California, between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. it's really very cool...tide pools, shellfish, and all. of course, at this time of year it's pretty daunting.

According to my biologist sister, there is something called a coconut octopus that has bi-pedal movement as well. Octopuses are terrifyingly awesome creatures.
