A serious response: Unlike something like, say, a compressor (the most overpriced things ever), reverb pedals are supposedly kind of difficult to design and build.

A good compressor is not a simple circuit to design...nor a good reverb. Do you think they are overpriced because you don't notice a huge benefit/difference in sound?
