I'm in one of those "god I'm depressed I can't wait to get out of this town" kind of moods so I'm looking at places I'd want to live when I finally finish school(not for another year). I love big cities and Toronto seems pretty interesting if I decide to take the leap across the border.
I lived in Minneapolis for a couple years and loved it. I know that's not as big and I wouldn't mind an even bigger city.
So, anybody live there? been there? have anything to say about it?
I'm just bored and striking up conversation.
Toronto?

Re: Toronto?
I have lived just outside of Toronto my whole life, and now I'm moving into the down town area over the next few days!
I love it.
It's an interesting city. I've never been to Minneapolis, so I can't compare it unfortunately.
It's a lot of fun. There's always something going on if you're in the right neighborhood, there are a lot of streetcars and the subway runs 24 hours. (After 1:38am it gets replaced with a bus, but it's still the same route.)
I've also found most people to be friendly to me. It's also a very pedestrian friendly city place from my experience.
Also, since it's the most multi-cultural city in the word, it's got some awesome food and really cool stuff happening in it.
I guess the suckiest parts are how congested the roads and highways are, and the fact that the price of everything is going up and catching up with Vancouver. If I didn't get a crazy deal on the apartment I'm moving into, I couldn't afford to live there. If you aren't living right down town the rent isn't quite as brutal though.
The mayor is also insane. (some may disagree with me though)
So yeah. I'd visit sometime to get the hang of it and see what you think.

Re: Toronto?
I've been to toronto a few times and I gotta say it is a very nice city. The neighborhoods vary widely so you can find anything you want within the city, and downtown truly is stunning, aesthetically speaking. there are some pretty bad areas though so I'd be careful.
