AS YOU WERE POSTING THAT I was going through Mega Man 2 for the 8 JILLIONTH TIME. You're my kinda jerkoff.

I have a lot of "Top *** Games Of All Time", but the more I think about it, the more I feel like Mega Man 2 actually is the Greatest Video Game Ever. It has all the basics: you're a robot man, you run non-stop, jump non-stop, and shoot big white balls out of your fist. Then you fight other weird robots and GAIN THEIR POWERS. Then you fight other giant robots all designed by an evil scientist. AND the colors and sprites are sooooo cool and ahead of their time, and geez... Mega Man 2: Best Video Game Music Ever? Maybe. Anyway, I love to have some beers as I progress through the game and get drunker and jumpier and die-ier until mashing myself up against the spike mines in Wily's Castle Stage 3 is no longer :rant:

Sure, it's simple, but it seems like most video games, at least in the action/platformer/shooter/2-D sidescroller genre, can be brought back to Mega Man. Played through 4 last night, and while it's a good one, it's not the greatest. I don't like the Mega Buster at all, as it mostly just makes you hold down B at ALL TIMES, and also ruins the music as it's charging. The slide addition in III is ok, but they should have stopped there. Did you know that I've never played 5 or 6? I have played some of the X series, and there is nothing, to me, appealing about those ones. Not enough tricky platforming and too much just SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT.

I would also say that Mega Man 9 is ALMOST as good as Mega Man 2. That one really forces you to use the Robot Masters' weapons as much as you can, as does 10. Plus no slide and no Mega Buster. I hope 5 and 6 are released on the Wii Virtual Console at some point.

Yeah, I've missed a lot of Mega Man stuff that isn't 8-bit based, but that's Mega Man to me, and that's what I love so much about the series.

So what is included in this collection? It's like 1 through 8 or something, right?

This calls for a new Robot Master as my avatar! Who did I just have a fun time fighting? How about the king of Robot Master weapons: METAL MAN.

My previous ALL TIME GAME, for like years and years, has been The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past... so part of me feels way bad for putting Mega Man over Link. But then also feel bad for putting those two over my chicky Samus in Super Metroid.

yes and yes! :!!!:

well its 1-8 and you can unlock 2 never before in the us arcade games buy beating all the mega man games... i did 1-3 and never went back for the others... :facepalm:

its a good thing the wii can play game cube games! i might give this one another run some day! :joy:
