Today is Carl Sagan's birthday...

And the perfect opportunity for my favorite youtube clip ever.

Required watching for every human being if I had my way.

Great man.

I remember watching him as a kid, and can definitely reference him as one of the main reasons I was ever interested in science.

I recall my alarm clock waking me up to the news that he had passed - that turned out to be the beginning of a very bad day.

I really like his Cosmos series from the early 80s.. still really relevant today and the way Carl Sagan talks just makes you want to listen and learn.

Remember that discussion with Sagan, Hawking, and Clarke called God, the universe, and everything else? That's a cool one too... these videos are still available on Google video or torrent sites and I don't think Carl would mind us watching them.
