I'd like the tone bypass of the V4, plus the endless sustain. It's the only muff I've ever loved :animal: so I'm open to variants.....
I really, really dig the Bluebeard. :thumb:
It also has a tone bypass so...

Ehh, kinda, but not really.
It's not about the money or amount of pedals or anything except what they do with what they have.
If a guitarist can get super awesome sounds with a neon-green Dean into a Crate practice amp, more power to them.
Same for if a guitarist can get super awesome sounds with thousands of dollars worth of pedals into thousands of dollars worth of amps.

Of course, it's way more interesting to read about a bunch of interesting, expensive, or rare gear.
I'd definitely be way less interested in a band that plays a Peavey Valveking than one that plays a Science amp.
I think if a band has uninteresting gear, I don't think much of it, and just appreciate the band.
But if they have cool gear, I appreciate both what they have and what they do.

The fuzz, she is a cruel mistress.
I HATE this. I also hate I find an amazing tone and I can't wait to use it in a band setting and then it sounds really awkward with everyone else and it kills all the excitement.

This is what I did with my Hawk  I don't have any other pedals that produce feedback like that though which makes it especially fun to use live.

:) You're welcome

I have a Depth Charge coming in this week. I hope it will be the answer to my fuzz blooz.

I thought I didn't want the Unpleasant Surprise, but after parting with my TAFM, I'm finding it much more useful. I'm hoping my dirt chain will be Mini > SSStampede > Depth Charge > Unpleasant surprise > ???

The ??? Will likely be something from Mountainking or Black Arts Toneworks. I don't know though. I keep thinking I've got my fuzz figured out, but there's so much to try. And every day I find another fuzz I want to try. Ugh.

And to think, until I found this place, I was content with my Bass Big Muff Pi.

I definitely bought more clothes and video games before haha. I haven't touched my ps3 in months and my wardrobe consists of one pair of jeans and a shitload of black t shirts from target.

I've been having trouble deciding whether I want to support my pedal or vinyl addiction more, lately.

If youre anything like me, youll hold on to the vinyl a lot longer than pedals. But man. I love that new pedal smell.

Yeah, the vinyl is way more personal to me. Pedals I can trade, but when people want to trade for my records I just can't do it.

i've only encountered this in the knob equivalent of the "nuttin' button" cuz it aint do nuttin'. never like full on fuzzes. then again, my spread is pretty far apart. superfuzz clone, algal bloom, and a muff clone. but i've noticed that "starve" functions seem to be an on/off kinda thing largely.

but ear fatigue is definitely the cause here. the TAFM is the last pedal i'd think to have an unresponsive-sounding control.

The girlfriend (or boyfriend) test should definitely be standard.

Then again my high school girlfriend thought my delay and fuzz were one in the same
:picard:

I dunno. Ideally I'd have one octave fuzz and one thick muff/dark fuzz. It does irk me to have overlap anywhere on my board tho. Fuzz and delay are the only effects I think you really can justify having two of

Maybe octavers in a live situation. One for down, one for up. my ideal setup would be my second voice for octave down + 5th, a SubT for octave down, and maybe just an octave up fuzz, since I doubt I would play it clean anyways.
