Nah I've already LOL'd at that thread many times. I want to see the technique thread.

Pro tip. Stay away from all areas of TB except effects.

Pro tip. Also stay away from the effects forum...:)

Examples of threads that drive me bonkers.

What the fuck is the point of this shit?

Admittedly I've posted my board on here many times for the praise (you know the internet high fives), but what's the point of it. There's already a fucking pedalboard thread.

Sweet.

I was interning in a melbourne studio about 10 years ago and an acoustic guitar player would rub his fretting fingers behind his ears to get the grease from there. He said it helped reduce string squeak. I must admit while listening with headphones that it did seem to work. But it also did gross me out a bit when I saw him do it. :barf:

This is the only forum I've ever belonged to but once or twice a blue moon I'll check TB or TGP off a search link and I'm always surprised at how many of y'all I see over there as regular posters... :idk:

You know who I see...

One time, I broke the E-string (playing in a Country Rock band, of all things)...the front man is a talker (DJ is his "real" job), so he yapped while I re-strung.
I also recall breaking an A-string in an R&B band...finished the set & then 're-strung.
In no way would I or the others consider cutting a set short for something like this.
FME, you must have a spare set (or 2) in your gig bag...maybe some extra G-strings, too.
I...is this how it's like on other forums?

Me? Well not on the Gear Page. Mostly because I've never seen anything interesting there ever. On Talkbass, yes. Sometimes I do like it there, other times I hate it. It's a love hate thing.

I would have a G-string but it would require me to change my tuning. 8D
