Last night I dialed in some pretty good toanz with the Pharaoh. Definitely need the volume up a little ways, you guys were right about that. It can get kinda noisy which I don't like but I seemed to find a good setting with little to no noise.
I didn't have much luck with Bad Monkey -> Pharaoh or Pharaoh -> Revelation. I might try a Pharaoh and Big Muff combination but I'm not sure I'm doing this stacking thing right.

What are your tone knobs set at?

When stacking you need to remember that keeping the gain down on the pharaoh is key. Specially if you are hitting it with an OD. Have most of the gain coming from the OD and the Pharaoh set to a lower gain setting and allowing it to thicken up the signal

It's not here in front of me but I think it was volume a full, fuzz at 11 o'clock, tone around 4 o'clock and high around 11 o'clock. Lo gain switch, middle position on clipping.

We have really similar settings. Sounds so good. Was gonna suggest to Krosis to start with his tone knobs facing away from each other and adjust from there if that tone stack still works like the stock Pharaoh.

it would seem ridiculous to mod the tone stack portion of a pharaoh. i would guess a reasonable person who wanted it modded to triangle specs would be modding the gain structure and leaving the eq alone. otherwise what's the point of the pharaoh? just mod a big muff or something.

Yeah I was really hoping for a stock Pharaoh but I've been having some fun with this one last night and tonight.

Yes. MF Drive into Pharaoh like this is the best sound I've ever had.

I is doing this with my revelation and Black Forest. It is fucking thick and brutal.
I almost wanna stick my dynacomp in front but my brother has it.
Anyone putting comps in front of their stacked BATs?

+1 to low gain when stacking. I first found the joys of pharaoh stacking into the oath side of my destroyer, that was killer. Even better is pharaoh > revelation> quantum mystic. All set too low gain settings. It jus let's the flavor of each come through and with all 3, there is more than enough gain going on. I do run a comp at the end of the chain in the gt10 I use. It adds to the ocerall sound and smooths things out a bit. I diid recently stop using the amp models in that thing as I think my amps sound fine on their own, and it was like adding an aditional layer of comp that kind of smothered things. So I would suggest just a touch of compression. Subtlty is the way to go here.
Sorry for typos, on my phone now.

All good man, my phone is bullshit for foruming, too.
Subtle is how I roll with comp. I don't like it squishy, just thick.....just like......the ladies.

pharaoh EQ is awesome. I always roll tone 1 full CCW, tone 2 to taste depending upon amp, guitar ect
