How long are you here and where you staying? My girl and I will be downtown on Friday I think, will totally meet a random internet stranger for a drink. Not like a craigslist stranger but DEF an ILF stranger.
Everyone says Pappy's is tops but they only cook a limited number of each thing, then there's a line around the fucking block, then it's over when they're out. I don't have the patience, plenty of other good BBQ joints.
If you want good pizza, there's a great new-ish place called PW down on Choteau, right off Jefferson. Pi rules too. There's also an amazing restaurant above PW, Vin de Set and their sister restaurant 1111 Mississippi right around the corner. Sidney Street is close by too and it's the BOMB if you like steak, chicken, seafood, whatever, my fave restaurant here hands down. Square One Brewery is right nearby in Lafayette Square, little microbrewery/restaurant. Try the Beermosa, omfg so good.
I probably mentioned most of this already but to lazy to look back haha. Also, I'm totally making myself wanna leave work to eat and get a beer now! Ugh.

Re: St Louis MO - what to do
Head off on Saturday. My only free night is Friday ( looks like it is confirmed now) so yep. Finished with all of my engagements at around 1pm.
Fuzz daaaaate!!!
Found a BBQ joint on the way back to the hotel from the metro, will try it out for lunch. Or maybe go the other way, try and find a coffee.
Thanks for all the tips bro.

Re: St Louis MO - what to do
Right on! I'll get in touch soon via PM, we'll work something out. Good times.
Oh hey, forgot to mention, Forest Park is really great too, gorgeous and sprawling downtown park with much to do. Houses one of the best zoos in the US and a pretty solid art museum, both of which are completely free of charge. History Museum, outdoor theater, etc, etc. It's literally right down the street from Delmar and Pi and Pageant. Central West End is close by too, lots of restaurants and coffee shops and bars.
Cardinals games are pretty cool, downtown by the stadium is bustling and they'll let you enter free after 7th inning if you wanted to check it out. Soulard (south city) is nearby too, again lots of cool bars, restaurants, and a variety of live music.
Lastly, too bad you're not here Sunday night cuz Torche will be in town laying down the jamz!

Re: St Louis MO - what to do
A quick update for anyone following this thread - Schnikez was out of action due to family members getting sick so I headed out to Square One Brewery for a beer and some food, solo. While eating a charcuterie plate a fucking tornado warning came in with alarms and everything, so I asked the bar tender if I should head home or what, and he said it was safest to wait it out. Resulted in me drinking a shit load of microbrewed IPA and a couple of house distilled wiskeys and getting completely loaded. Absolutely fantastic night.
THANKS SAINT LOIUS! So much fun!
Not looking forward to being hung over on a plane tomorrow, but whatever. Den dagen den sorgen, as we say. Going to read some sci fi and fall asleep with the book and dream of Iron Ether's newest piece of analogue awesomeness.
