Just picked up a Coteaux du Languedoc for T'anksgivin dinner tomorrow. I am going to get my family to drink some decent wine if I have to bludgeon them all over the head with it.

Haven't been drinking much wine lately, but what I really enjoyed a little while ago was Durbanville Hills Shiraz 2004.

Very cheap considering how good it was.

Drinking a Bota Box Zin.

It was a bit sweet and acrid, but after a few glasses on an empty stomach, it's good :thumb:

I'm not averse to boxed wine. It really is more efficient than bottles and corks. It's just never a good idea to give me 3 bottles of wine at a time. I feel it's almost daring me to try to finish them off. I'm all, "this thing has to be empty soon. I'll just have another glass to polish it off!" Then, 8 glasses later I realize I've gotta go to work in 2 hours. :whoa:

Rosé with beef? Hmmmmm. Worth trying, methinks. Where are all your sides with that delicious looking steak though? :?:

I'm a big fan of cabernet savignon, zinfandel, shiraz, and tempranillo wines. I don't often drink the same kind more than twice as there are far too many out there to limit myself. With beer I generally find and stick to personal favoUrites, but wine I just keep going down whatever path decides to take me at any given moment. I've found bliss is $5 bottles, but the occasional fancy time is definitely to be had for around the $20 mark.

California is awesome for wine. Spending a week in Paso Robles was one of the best experiences I've ever had. So beautiful. So drunk.

A few glasses of Apothic Red. A nice inexpensive blend.

Just picked up a bottle of the Rex Goliath Merlot. Pretty stoked to try it. Been a while since I had wine.
