Not to revive dead topics but shit went down finally today. It's weird as i had decided to visit her at least one more time in october and end it as i was leaving around march. She was feeling really similar and broke up with me i told her about how she shouldn't feel bad as i was thinking about doing the same thing. Was on rather good terms but still a bit bummed about it. My band dumped me yesterday as well so it's just kinda like well fuck this sucks i don't have anyone to take me out and get me drunk/laid. I'm also really curious if she cheated on me not that i could really hold it against her but still kinda like NO YOU DON"T GET TO HAVE SEX WITH ANYONE ELSE EVER! I really hope she doesn't date her best friend who's a guy as that would be really gross. Is it bad that i think i really would rather have her cheat on me with a girl? There is just no satisfaction breaking up with someone and staying friends. End rant.

I'm really sorry to hear about that (and the band!)... But remember, you wanted to end it first. Because she did, it makes it easier on you--you don't have to live with the guilt of doing it yourself. Weird, I know, but breakups are weird. I don't know if that's any comfort, but I'm attempting. Haha.

Staying friends with ex's is hard work. I will say the absence of sex normally makes it easier to be around someone you used to date. I've also found that this makes breakups easier as well.
