The fact you're alive, not institutionalized & such a character is a testament to your strength and the resilience of the human spirit. Never mind some mood swings & demons, you're high on my list of fav personalities 'round here.
When those negative feels resurface, remember it isn't your fault; remember that. Humans are capable of both incredible feats of kindness & aggression, destruction....often motivated by nothing more than impulse. As you said, a sociopath just doesn't care about anything but satisfying their appetite. There are too many predators like that roaming around, but the duality of human nature is those animal impulses exist within us all, to some extent. It's about the choices we make. Hope you keep choosing to be a good dude, you make the board a more enjoyable read/interaction.
I wanna heal your inner child with humor...but it's not something I can tap into at will. I'll just keep chipping away at the salt crystals which form around the hearts of muh fuzz squad. We board pals, lets keep moving forward.

It is really heartening to see.the response here. All too often, cases of big name musicians being accusd of rape become moments where I realize how incompatible I am with music loving peers. It is such a nuanced and challenging subject, and so often survivors are forced to make unfair rhetorical or emotional concessions. I know it helps me, and probably other survivors, to see such a response about this subject, a subject which is often made light of and mishandled (to say the least) in public spheres.

My heart goes out to everyone here who has been denied their agency, or loves someone who has.

I've been close to women that have been raped or abused and I could always tell. The closest thing I could come up to illustrate it, they were like a flower that was stomped on, it was still beautiful, still a flower, but broken.
One of the people I most admire on Facebook is Judy Cornette. Her son was raped and left for dead; she took that anger, hatred and focused on her organization Predator Patrol, she's been on countless TV shows and she has a book coming out.
If it was my kid, I would have gone Frank Castle and started killing those fuckers, she did something positive with it.
To reveal a bit of my sick, twisted and totally fucked up brain, I'd love to volunteer to execute child sexual predators (I'd totally do regular rapist too) I imagine how disturbed people would be to see me smiling as one of those fuckers shook on 'ol sparky, or hell I would not mind placing a bullet right between their eyes and once they are on the ground, pull out a hand gun and empty the damn clip and then have their corpses ground up and fed to endangered species so at least they can do something good in death.

....end of mentally unbalanced rant.
