Busy foreverrrrr, but good overall. I work at a CPA firm and I'm the new guy so I get the work everyone hates to do, but that's just kind of how it goes I guess. My coworkers aren't assholes though, which is rad.

Job is going pretty well. The only thing that sucks is still having to work some night shifts, but I've brought that up and I eventually wont have to do that in time. Also, boss has mentioned multiple times the potential creation of an assistant manager position that I'd be the obvious person to get. That's pretty cool for only having been there since March. It's the first time as I've really had a job where I'm really trusted and treated as an adult. I don't see myself there forever, but I'm definitely comfortable staying there for a while and continuing to do a good job.

This. Every day. I am wall to wall meetings from 9:30 to 5:30, then I do my "work."

Yup. Even folks who know how to buy branding and design can be difficult. I have some franchises I've worked on for over 3 years.

Working here for 10 years and no pay raise, a pay cut because the lying CEO said he "didn't need someone of my capability" and thanks to the recession that seems to be still going on for the average joe, jobs are few and far between in my career field (graphic design) and (not exaggerating) hundreds of applications for any decent job.
Started a youtube channel and learning video editing as well as recording hoping I can somehow make this into a money making venture.
Ok, you need to make a change. There are markets that are starved for design talent up and down the west coast. Find a few studios that are doing the work you want to be doing, and hunt them down. Linked in makes it damn easy for you to find a senior creative at a different place to take out to coffee and make a connection with. No designer should be feeling like their job is a dead end or they can't get a raise for 10 years…that's some bullshit.

I get paid by the state to read literature and write papers on literature. Can't complain.

Love my job, been getting increasing amounts of work lately. Hopefully some day I will level up from freelancer to employee, but then again the paper press isn't exactly prospering post-internet.

I can't really complain about mine. I've been in game development for a long time, currently freelancing (long-time though) for a big developer/publisher, which has some nice advantages compared to smaller companies (obviously issues too but it's quite good overall, surprisingly).

I would need my own thread to even begin to answer this question and even hint at the toxicity of my workplace.

But, I will summise:

kill me. Please.

Been at my new job for almost a year (a month and 3 days shy). I really like it. I make my own schedule. Lots of driving, a little less than 1000 miles a week on average. I oversee 40 stores in my territory. I work out returns, troubleshoot product issues, make sure displays and inventory are in line at my stores. I also do resets from time to time. It's been a really nice change of pace compared to my previous desk jobs. New place every day, get to meet up with people on my overnight trips.

I stop shoplifters and work general security stuff as well as oversee a safety program. I send people to jail a lot. I mean a whole lot. Business has been slow lately.

I work retail for a technology company. I have done so for ten years. I've worked nearly every available position and was recently promoted to manager. I like my coworkers. I like my benefits. I don't mind my hours and I don't even mind the lack of consistency. There are always things that are challenging but that's every job. Fortunately I'm in a position where I can actively make some of those changes.

Yeah, that sounds nice.
The only person really above me is the owner. And half the time I have no idea what he's doing and how this company has lasted for so long.
We get a shit ton of pissed off calls every day asking to talk to him and he's just like "I'm not here" or he runs outside the instant I pick up the phone.
Other than that, it hasn't been that bad.

I do live lighting and sound.

Not enough gigs, so I'll prolly end up getting another job. Prolly warehouse something. Worked in an office once, and I hated it.
