Really? I thought he used the HM-2! That's good to know :) and do you know how he adjusted the EQ? I wanna see how I feel about it hahah
Not really sure on the settings, I've seen it just about every time I've gone to check converge out live over the years. Not sure what era of converge you are referring to exactly, but alot of kurt's heavy tones at one point came from a yamaha t100 which is basically a soldano slo clone.

Listen to Saetia again and then think realize that you don't need tone to kick ass!

I used a Crunch Box for a while with my former post-hardcore/skramz band.

I'm not the biggest Converge fan but I thought that guy was all about the YBA1.

He has a yba1a. But the "wear your safety glasses" traynor is a yrm-1, he seems to use that one alot according to some of his social networking spots.

Dude has a ton of stuff honestly but every time I've seen them its usually v4's or oranges.

I'd go with a V4 and an OCD or something similar

A Fender SF Bassman 100, 4x12 mismatched cab, and a MT-2 + Arion flanger + Rocktron delay pedals got me really far. The MT-2 is a really ripping sound that you can dial in just right. We played industrial type stuff. Did pretty good for ourselves....in HS.

This is the early Loma Prieta recipe exactly.

Science Hellhawk or a V-4 and OCD. HOLY BALLS Loma's tone is awesome. That's also impart thanks to Jack Shirley, but live they're so epically loud.

Actually, never mind what anyone else said. Deep v-necks are essential for good screamo tone.

White belts and Sauconys too. Maybe some shaggy dyed black hair too.

I died. Nowadays I have a 3 pack of black deep v necks I wear a shit ton, but ironically, in my more skramzy days I didn't wear them at all. Just band T's relentlessly.

Orchid tone is all about P90s and the old valvestate marshalls.

Classic screamo tone is SG into JCM800, maybe with a rat. Unless we're talking about early 00's euro clean guitar screamo but why would you want to talk about that garbage?

The OCD is amazing, from personal experience. Affordable, available in any music store, truly great.

Science Amps are the only amp company that are made by and for screamo musicians specifically. Not to pigeonhole them. I mean it utterly as a compliment.
