ebay psychopaths

this thread does kinda remind me to be careful on ebay
im pretty sure ive sold stuff to people who pay with dirty money
i think the last like 4 things ive sold were to people through ebay messages and sent to other addresses


and lots of people wanting to pay with cash alot these days with like no good reason
and not like small amounts like 2500 dollars
who carries that much cash and feels safe lol?

i even had a baseball bat around the corner the last guy that came to my house to buy a guitar

yahp. i meet at my bidness so they don't know where i live and i keep a shotty close by.

luckily, never had problem one with people. helps maybe that i'm a larger guy. but just in case is better than need it and don't have it.

I always carry when I have craigslist transactions. Sometimes I felt silly for doing so, other times I was damn glad I had it. meth head apartments aren't exactly warm inviting places.

i dont have a normal wallet,i have one of those foldover clip sorta deals. black leather. 2pockets inside, 2 outside for id credit cards etc

So I ordered a neck last week and 5 days later the seller finally sent shipping info. When I checked it, it showed the package as being delivered to a place in kentucky! Thats about as far from me as it gets. So I sent a message through ebay to the seller asking if they put the wrong tracking info in. They responded that it was right and asked if I lived in kentucky. I wrote back again stating that I'm in washington and they replied again saying that they did ship it to me and they were'nt sure why it was wrong in the tracking info and asking me to wait till monday.

So am I going to be ok waiting another day or so before opening a ticket? I'm kinda getting the impression that the seller is the kind of person that doesn't want to admit it when they screw up. Should I just open a case anyways?

i THINK there's 30 days to open a dispute? should be easy to check ne? i don't use ebay though. they fucked me HARD on a sell. i'm on the hook for a g with paypal over it.

i would wait a few days if you're still covered, but i hate going into disputes/arbitration if i don't have to.

Tracking numbers get reused, its possible that what they gave you is in fact the right tracking number and that it is headed to your actual location. Most likely they've made a shipping label online but haven't actually shipped yet, so the tracking info is still for the last package that had that number.

thats reassuring, I'm going to wait a bit and hope for the best. I DON'T want to open a case if it's just a mix up.
